We all know that too well: We push and push and push tedious topics to a later and later date …! “A stitch in time saves nine!” You probably know this saying. But why is it so difficult for us to adhere to it?
Difficult decisions and unpleasant conversations are put off. This delaying tactic also burns energy and sometimes our self-worth. If it is one of your resolutions for 2021 that you want to get out of this vicious cycle, you need this mind-set: “I want! – I can! – I do!”
You can find out how you could get into that mind-set with our special guest and Psychologist, Anselm Kaelberer from Germany. He will join us to talk about “Procrastination” and why it is sometimes difficult to break this pattern.
After some introductions he will provide input and background on Procrastination and explain the different types of Procrastination. He will share the pro´s and con´s and the most common triggers.
Anselm will also provide insights into how people could break that pattern and what techniques, tools & methods are helpful. He will share personal stories with us and has some really practical tips and further reading recommendations and leave some time for Q&A at the end.
Your participation is free!
“I once interned at a big Car manufacturer during my studies of psychology. Soon I realized, basic psychological knowledge was few and far between even among internal senior consultants.
The Problem was (and still is): most of the people working there have technical backgrounds like engineering. They have great skills at rational, logical problem solving when it comes to technical tasks.
Unfortunately, they believe that intra- and interpersonal, psychological processes can be managed in the same way. Along the lines of: “What you see is all there is”, David Kahnemann . They lack an understanding of how psychological processes influence us subconsciously. A blind spot which leads to a tremendous loss of productivity and overall job satisfaction.”
Raise awareness for and provide an understanding of the psychological processes that navigate human behavior. Manage these processes. Increase productivity. Be one step ahead.
